Support for Students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) is committed to providing equal opportunity for all students including those with special educational needs and disabilities. To create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for student, the University provides additional support and special arrangements for students with such needs.
Students are invited to declare their special educational needs (SEN) to the Registry in early September via email. The Student Affairs Office (SAO) will contact the registered student for an individual meeting to discuss the necessary accommodation and liaise with the departments concerned.
All buildings on campus are accessible via ramps or lifts to facilitate mobility for students with physical disabilities. Students require help may contact the Security Office at 3963 5166 for any immediate assistance.
Priority is given to students with disabilities at all service counters in the Library, SAO and in the use of photocopying services. Students required further needs may contact staff on the office at any time.
Special Examination Arrangements
Special arrangements such as providing enlarged version of question papers, allowing extra time, etc could be arrange for students with disabilities.
Most sports facilities are accessible to persons with disabilities. Wheelchair users requiring assistance in entry can ask for help from service counters. Special arrangement will also be made for students with disabilities wishing to participate in sports related activities.
